<p>My DS3 has earned quite a lot of cash through several science fairs. About $1500. 3 awards. Some of his peers have earned far more than that: $6000+ plus trips to Siemens, INTEL et al.</p>
<p>DS2 earned a $500 scholarship that only required an essay. Might have been a school thing. The recognition alone was wonderful, and after the struggle for him to write that essay, he promised never to complain again! (Let’s see).</p>
<p>DS1 applied to many FastWeb scholarships, at least 10. Not a word. I really wondered if they were legit. He got $10,000 merit, renewable.</p>
