The best ones I am giving up are UCLA and Michigan.

Georgetown, Vanderbilt, UNC, SMU, Tulane, Washington and Lee, Rhodes

Georgetown

Why are you guys giving those schools up? Is it the money or did all of you guys get into the Honors Program at UGA?

I did get into honors which is great. However, UGA is a fine school geeting better every year. My parents could have paid for georgetown but is an undergraduate degree in the georgetown business school really worth 200k. I believe I can go to UGA apply myself and do whatever I want in life whether it be medical school or bussiness graduate school. I also feel the type of college experience I am looking for is more along the lines of an experience at UGA. I have confidence in myself that I can make the right choices, keeping my life goals in mind. Look it would be just as easy to go to UGA and become major scholarshoip winner for grad school as it would to graduate at Georgetown in the middle of the pack. Which would be better? UGA of course and to top it off I would have saved aprox 160k. No brainer for me. Paying 200k for undergraduate is not going to automatically make you sucessfull

Keith

Well for me:

1) HOPE Scholarship
2) Honors College
3) Additional Merit Scholarship
4) HOPE Scholarship!!!

PLUS: As Keith said, UGA is a good school that is getting better every year. Plus the campus is beautiful, and it is 90 minutes away from home, which is far enough yet close enough. AND I will be able to meet new people every day while still seeing some familiar faces from high school. And, of course, I'm SAVING 140K!!!

uva, unc, washington and lee. BUT im saving a lot of money and im gonna get an undergrad and masters in 4 years.... basically for free so i guess its worth it.

michigan and univ of illinois
b/c of money
im not even in the honors program, my SAT was too low so i didnt apply
but i am going to try to transfer into it my first year
