What school do I apply ED to?

^ Are you sure your chances are better applying ED? I read here that one's chances could be worse by applying ED.

<a href="http://princetonreview.com/college/apply/articles/types/applyearly.asp%5B/url%5D">http://princetonreview.com/college/apply/articles/types/applyearly.asp</a></p>

Why not consider ED II if you think you need more time to bring up your test scores or grades?

I did look at the admissions numbers for CMU in CIT and you look like you are in the ballpark. However, as I said above the best person to ask about your chances is your school counselor, not strangers on an internet forum.

So, don't let fear of being rejected stop you from applying anywhere. If you LOVE CMU, and you decide to apply ED, go into it with a positive attitude but have a backup plan. Control the things you can control: Do your best on your essays, get strong recommendations, interview well.

Just have a backup plan -- that will help take the sting out if you don't get the news you hope for.

It seems to me that you might be wasting your time putting in hours on applications for schools you have little shot at. Even as a legacy, your stats are just not going to work for Columbia. MIT with your math scores hardly registers on their CDS. There are lots of good CS schools where your stats work. You can always transfer.
