I go to La Salle High School in Pasadena, CA although I live in Arcadia. Once the school year starts i'll give my opinion of the school. But from my friend's POV, the school's administration is corrupt and the school is strongly divided by cliques yet the teachers and academic quality are pretty good. So why don't you tell me about your HS?

I don't think many people here would be comfortable giving out the name of their high school. Good luck with that though.

In short, my school sucks. Administration is often clueless of what they're doing and their lack of self-awareness amuses me to no end. I can't believe I've survived through three years.

I live in an Upstate NY town with one high school for the entire town... Not abnormal, just dumb, I guess.
I hate small towns. Because several thousand people in town means own like 600 kids in school...
I hate my school. Cliquey, dumb, shallow dating pool (lol), and crappy all around.

The only good thing that I can think of is... Very nice facilities, but only because they're actually kept clean. Bleh.

"[Name of school] isn't just about football. There's other sports."

'Nuff said.

My school counselors don't care as long as their students can get into any 4 year college. That's why most of the smart kids at my school ended up going to state colleges, even if they are able to get into better schools.

Tiny all-girls Catholic school in the suburbs. Except I come from this suburb that's perceived as rich and snobby and the school's in a town that ranges from completely ghetto-rific to completely, well, rich and snobby. Yeeah.

If you take honors classes, the teachers are pretty good. Otherwise it's hit or miss... with more misses than not. And the administration is RIDICULOUS. This year they decided we have to wear our IDs on lanyards all day. Because the uniform isn't enough indication that we belong there. Arrrrgh.

Catholic, all-boys school in a big city. Pretty small, like 1000 people in all 4 grades [combined].

It's actually a good school academically and a very good school in sports. There's a fairly strong weed culture here [maybe like...50% have used], but most of the kids are nice guys.

Here, you get 1 warning then In school suspension... followed by out of school suspension.

We're really small ~160 (9th+10th) mini-magnet public and we don't rank... we have a few clubs and play on another school's sports teams.

There are, in total, about 3 people with IQs >130.... we have a lot of annoying stupid people -_-

I just moved so I'm not really sure what my school is like.
However, my previous school was a very prestigious private schools in Sydney. K-12 and all girls. Excels in academics, music, sports, debating, etc. The school itself is very nice with huge grounds and plenty of facilities.. There is a considerable asian population and the rest of the school is composed of mostly girls from upper class families.

1000 people in all 3 grades. good teachers. horrible guidance counselors. diverse student body. i hang out with the nerds but I'm also comfortable with whoever. our table is full when exams come around :p don't care about dating since I don't like party/drinking girls and that is 99% of the female population with the remaining 1% being difficult to look at. i have only done it once and it was in grade 6 :p the school is really old and so is the equipment. just my luck that a new school is being built and it will opened the YEAR AFTER I GRADUATE! ;(

I go to an academically selective public all girls school... I think the only way to put it is "pressure cooker school" basically my english tutor told me that in english, 8-10% of students are supposed to get in the top band (13-15/15) we have 8-10% of people getting FULL marks...
its like one of the top schools in the state though so it all worth it in the long run... only like 19 school days and I'm outta there forever... need to get throughg trials first though :(
