I’m an international student ( canada ) thinking of applying to some US schools, but not sure of what schools I have a chance of being admitted to. Currently a senior, grad '17
Background: middle class asian female
Intended field: Engineering
SAT: 2300 (highest single sitting, other score was 2230 in grade10 )
SAT II: Scores for Lit / Math / Phys released in 20 days :’)
but i messed up phys so lets say 750+ in math2 and Lit
APs: Calc AB (5), Language & Comp. (5). Taking Microecon & Bio this year
GPA: idk how my grades translate on the 4.0 scale, but
Freshman year: ~93 ( idk what i was doing tbh) Sophmore year: ~95 Junior Year ~98 Senior Year: TBD but hoping for at least 97
** Our school doesn’t offer very many APs, but most of core courses have been at the honors level
top 5% of grade for all 3 years, rankings not released but pretty sure top5/300
ECS:
- STEM club: founder/leader
- Math club: leader
- Joined Clubs: School newspaper, indian umbrella, student council member, GSA
- Involved in city youth council, staff team for a student-run math olympiad
- Art / Painting : 8 years ( but didn’t rlly participate in contests)
- Volunteer at local hospital

( Total volunteer hours 500+) - Workat Kumon 2x a week afterschool since gr10

( Theres a variety but theyres nothing thats rlly strong imo)
Recs:
- pretty good one from calc teacher, rest are prob kind of generic
