I am an Engineering Major and really confused about what College to attend next fall
Rice
Univeristy of Pennsylvania
Duke University
Harvey Mudd College
Carnegie Institute of Technology
USC?

Which one has the name, and a good rep when it comes to jobs and recruitment! Thanks Alot

haha. i'm from hmc. all i gotta say is that i wish i could tell about one of the current projects i'm working on. i've had absolutely no trouble working where-ever i want... and i'm a sophomore. reputation: solid engineers.

That depends. In the west coast it's known, but move to the East and HMC becomes much more obscure among employers. At least from my experiences.

Engineering at Harvey Mudd, Caltech, and Carnegie Mellon are all top-notch. Pick the school based on fit and how well you will enjoy the next four years.

mr_k, i hope that your blunt reaction is a joke.
i have researched this topic for several years- i think you are underestimating people's judgement on this forum and overestimating the usefulness of USNR.

i'd pick several schools over mit for engineering for undergrad...
olin college
harvey mudd college
caltech (for engineering sciences)
india institute of technology (if i was bad-@$$ and into electronics)

Maybe you guys should stick to the OP's choices of schools?

Also depends what type of engineering you want to do..I heard UPenn has a real bad ass research program with nanotechnology, available for undergrads.
