What school is best for me?

I'm a junior in a High school and I realized that I only have till the beginning of my senior year to pick which colleges I want to attend, but the thing is that I have no clue what I want to study!
So far here's what I got.
-I like to work with my hands
-It has to be something practical, something i can apply to in the real world.
-Building and design are things that interest me.
-Like science and math.
Any ideas on what I should study?

Here's a list of my high school grades so far,
Freshman year:
-English B
-Spanish C
-Algebra C
-Bio C
-Art B
-P.E. A
Summer school:
-Spanish 2 C
Sophomore year:
-English 2 A
-Geometry B
-Physics B
-World Civilization A
-Computer App C
-Athletics A
Junior Year (First Semester)
-English 3 A
-Algebra 2 B
-Chemistry A
-Computer App A
-US History A
-Art 2 A

Any advice on what schools I should apply too, and any ideas on what classes I should take to better my chances of getting accepted there?
Thank you.

If you want more help on this we will need your GPA, Sat Scores (Or PSAT), need for financial aid, preferable location, the size of your target school, majors or concentrations etc. etc. But it seems like you would like Engineering or Architecture, but unfortunately It seems as though your higher grades are more in line with an English or social sciences major. And regarding classes, take the most rigorous courses you can, of course.

3.63 GPA, and PSAT was a 1400 (terrible i know) I do Need Financial Aide, Parents make about 25,000 a year together. I would prefer a school in California.

You need to apply to all of the UC’s they will be free if you live in CA.

as far as i know, i still have to pay the $60 Application fee even if a i am a resident of California. or was your comment purely sarcastic?

No, I am sirious if your family makes less than 70k per year and you live in CA they are FREE and just when you apply click application fee waiver, so then the application are free too.

Well…the tuition part would be free, but not the room, board, books, misc.

So, be sure to apply to at least one that you could commute to.

While your GPA sounds fine (you’ll have to see what your UC GPA is), if you don’t score high enough on you SAT or ACT, that might be a problem unless you’re in the top 4% of your class.

You need to take the SAT and ACT soon. Get waivers for those, too.

When you apply for financial aid does the school base your income off of your house hold income or guardian income?

FAFSA is based on your guardian’s incomes (both parent types) and your own. Sibling’s incomes aren’t considered. Some of the 300 CSS Profile colleges also ask for non-custodial parent’s income.
