What schools are considered particularly liberal or conservative?

@intparent I think that conservative is a relative term. By college student standards, CMC is conservative. It’s the only one of the 5C’s with self-identified Republicans on the faculty. Also it attracts a lot of students who hope to go into investment banking and similar careers. But I also don’t think you can read too much into Yik Yak because it could be one or two people making a bunch of provocative comments. You can’t even be sure the Yik Yak comments are from real 5C students. The Claremont Independent, as you know, is not the official student newspaper of CMC. The CMC Forum, which is the official student newspaper, is much more liberal, as is The Student Life (Pomona) and the Peel (Pitzer). But the fact that the CI exists adds something very interesting to the mix. Also CI ran a story with survey results graphing the actual views of the staff on lots of issues such as pot legalization, death penalty, abortion, gun control, etc. http://claremontindependent.com/survey-of-the-claremont-independent-staff/.
