What schools are for me?

I prefer to good to a school on the east coast where it is not too hot. I plan to major in public relations or another communications major so internships will be a must. Here are some other things that I would like the college I will be attending to have:

-Greek life
-a big focus on athletics
-coed
-good resources for my major

Stats:
GPA: 3.2
ACT: 27
SAT: Reading - 510; Math - 580; Writing - 530
AP: French Language, English Language, Environmental Science
Honors: English 9, English 10, English 12, French
Dual enrollment at community college 2 semesters
Attented Uni of Florida Summer Journalism Institute
300+ hours community service

If you can get your GPA up (a pretty good amount really...) you might have a shot at getting into Virginia Tech. We have good career services in general and I think our communications program is pretty good. There is Greek life here (it doesn't dominate the campus but it's presence is noticable), "big" is an understatement when you're talking about athletics around here, we're co-ed with a 44/56 split. Is that GPA unweighted? Would weighting it bump you up substantially? A 3.2 very probably won't get you in but if weighting it brings that to a 3.5 it would give you a reasonable shot at getting in.

Check out Syracuse-- it's in your range.

Unalove: fyi, OP is probably in range for Syracuse arts and science, but Newhouse would be a huge reach with grades/ACT/SAT.....They could enter into A&S and then try to transfer in soph or jun year to Newhouse for communications...Just to let you (and the OP know), Newhouse acceptance rate this year was approx 20%

maryland would work or Penn State, but both might be high matches

Ah, I was using collegeboard data in my assessment, but yeah, Newhouse is more prestigious.

Tennessee has revamped their journalism program and should be within your stats. It fits most of your criteria.
