Hey,
just submitted my app a couple days ago to Oxford for history(fingers crossed). I’m looking for more schools to apply to, and LSE and UCL are on my list. What schools are reputable for history? I’d like to stay away from Scottish schools as they’re 4 years and a bit more expensive…
Here are my test scores:
34 ACT
780 US SAT
APUSH-5
AP Human Geo-5
AP LIt-5
AP Stat-4
AP Chem-3
and taking 5 AP’s this year(Lang, Macro, Psych, Gov, Calc) predicted all fives except for Calc
And have taken AP World too(5)
Durham, Warwick, Exeter… I think you will find living in London even as a student will go a long way to negate the 3-4 year England- Scotland cost differential. Good luck.
Durham, Bristol, Warwick, Exeter, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Birmingham to name a few. Most of the top Unis have strong history programs as it is a popular major.
I’d suggest looking at the curriculum and the faculty - some will have better coverage in some specific areas, either by period or region or type of history, which may be of more or less interest to you.
