What Schools are in my range?

Hi, I'm going to be a senior at a Jesuit College Prep School, Freshman year I had a 3.1 gpa, and was in the advanced track for math and science. However, Sophomore year My gpa fell to a 2.6, and Junior year I brought it back up to a 2.8. Assuming things stay on track, I should have a 3.2 by the time my apps go off.
In terms of SATs I have a 1360/1600, and 750,700,740 on my SAT II's.
For Extracuricular activities, I've volunteered at an inner city school for about a year, Volunteered on Joe Liebermans Campaign, attended several political science summer camps at Yale, and just recently finished a course in Political Philosophy at Yale.

I'm interested in going to school for Political Science, and would love to attend schools in the Baltimore/ D.C. area.

My Father graduated from Georgetown, though that's obviously out of my reach. Can anyone recommend schools in this area that have a decent political science program?

American, George Washington, University of Maryland

University of Maryland - College Park is in your reach, depeding on compelling your essay is. Your SAT's are in well in range of College Park; however, your GPA is very low and could be a detriment to your application. You should still try a shot at Georgetown, you are a legacy, as they say. But i like College Park, and even better, if you can get into thier University Honors or Scholars programs, things could be very good for you. They offer a lot of scholarship money for thier members, i honestly recommend applying. Yet, your GPA is extremely low, and there is also a solid chanse you might not get honors.

what about Loyola of Maryland?

I hate to be a downer here but the OP is calculating his GPA with the freshman year...Freshman year will not likely count so is soph year is 2.6 and junior 2.8 I don't see a 3.2...
