What schools are like U Mich???

Nope, never been to Ann Arbor. How does the campus compare to Duke?

Duke's campus is more beautiful than Michigan's. I would say Michigan's campus is very nice/impressive and Duke's campus is gorgeous.

REALLY!?!?!....this might be the first time I EVER hype UM more than alexandre lol...but I think I like UM better than Duke. I didn't really like Duke's campus at all...its seemed really superficial and fake. They put too much effort into making EVERYthing match that the place doesn't have any character. ugg.

I was talking about landscaping, not architecture. I agree that Duke's architecture is out of place. I also think Michigan's campus is more impressive. But I think in terms of overall beauty, Duke is nicer than Michigan.

michigan is much better socially

Can anybody compare the state of racial relations between UM and Duke? Like how well do Asians mingle with whites at the two universities?

Like most anything, it all depends on what you make of it. I cannot imagine race-relations issues at any top university. Bright students are usually tolerant. I don't know much about Duke in that regard, but I know that at Michigan, students are very accepting and races/nationalities tend to mingle freely.

They are both liberal campuses with bright and tolerant (I'd imagine) in conservative towns. The difference is that Duke is in the south, so more of their students are from the south, so that could be a potential source of bias, but since they're top students, it'll be less common I think.

On the original question, I would nominate: UC-Berkeley, UIUC, UCLA, McGill.

If you are going to bring Div1 sports into it, only Michigan and Syracuse are in the top 15 of all time NCAA wins in both football and basketball.

I don't find it much like UCLA or UIUC. UCLA still has lots of commuters and UIUC is just bland.
