<p>Admissions guy said their reasoning is that the situation rarely (if ever) comes up in a college class--or real life, for that matter. Meaning, how often do you have to write a timed essay on something you may have never prepared for/studied?</p>
<p>i thought upenn did look at it. i went to an info session that was duke, georgetown, upenn, and harvard and i thought georgetown was the only one that said they wouldn't.</p>
<p>for those not looking at the writing section, are they willing to look at scores from the old sat, since they're basically suppose to be equivalent w/o the writing</p>
<p>yes...except for princeton...all will "mix and match"</p>
