Any school is “realistic” with your objective stats, but you fall short on EC’s. They’re pretty average for top schools. Also, MIT generally loves to see kids with math/science EC’s. Of course its too late to change any of that, so just get great recs and write killer essays. Then, hope for the best.

You should definity apply.

Will they understand though that schools in the middle of Central America dont have the same EC’s that schools in the USA provide?

Yes, they will look at EC’s in the context of what is available to you.

Your academics meet all top tier standards but, like everyone has already said, your math and science ECs are lacking. If you have any opportunities to maybe do anything math or science related, get it done. Finally, try and be as personable and likable as you can be in your essay. If you sound like just another kid with no life with no friends (not saying this is you, they just get many boring essays) than they will reject you no doubt, they get plenty of robot applicants. Good luck to you, and if you get a second, please chance me as well!

I’m assuming you are an international student? If not, which state do you live in?

You make me feel bad about myself.
