HS GPA 2.8ish
ACT:29
College GPA(1 semester at CC 1 at a university) Cumulative 3.77(3.6 at university)

I'm applying to UofM and Michigan State(hoping for UofM!!)

I am confident I will get into state, but Michigan is a toss up. I am a philosophy major looking for a nice liberal college, but that isn't too big of a deal. I want to apply to one more "reach" school and one more "safety" school. Any ideas? If there are any schools that are liberal with financial aid for transfers I would love to hear of them. My parents make good money, but not nearly enough to pay for my schooling easily. My sister just graduated from MSU and my rents payed for her(40k debt) and my other sister also goes to college.

I was looking at schools like Brown, NYU, Columbia, UC berkley, maybe UCLA or USC( I would love to move west) but I know they are very high reaches. With another year at CC i am confident I will get my gpa up past a 3.8, pushing the 3.9 area(if I 4.0'd both semesters) but schools are already beginning to accept transfers for the next fall semester. What are my options?
