<p>I'm a rising senior in high school. My SAT is 2030 (760 math, 660 reading, 610 writing) but I am planning on taking it again in October to improve the writing score. My unweighted GPA is 89, weighted is 92 (my school doesn't do it on a 4 point scale). I have taken 7 honors and 4 AP classes. I have played tennis and soccer for school and play in the school band. I am the founder and captain of my church's basketball team. I have some service. Here are the schools that I am applying to:</p>

<p>I think your gpa is going to hurt you for the first five. However, if its your freshman yr bringing your gpa down, remember that it has very little importance, and not even considered in UC admissions. I think to improve your chances, you should bring the sat to 2250+. I think, right now its high reach at brown and medium reaches at michigan, unc, and nyu. a low reach at san diego, and perhaps a match at gwu. I’m not really familar with ga tech and uga though…</p>
