and UMass Commonwealth College.

Geneseo, Tulane, UMiami, Bentley, Indiana University at Bloomington, and UVM

Penn state, ohio state, UC davis, UC irvine, university of washington, george mason, syracuse, and a few others.

UConn, PSU, Virginia Tech, West Chester, Towson, Pitt, Temple, and Drexel!
so psyched to be a blue hen!!

S turned down honors programs at Lafayette, Allegheny, Syracuse, and Skidmore. He is psyched about becoming a Blue Hen!

Fordham, Marist, UCONN, Quinnipiac.

D turned down Penn, Duke, PSU Honors, UMD Honors, Geneseo, Stony Brook Honors, UNC-Chapel Hill, William and Mary, and UMass Honors.

UNC was long D’s first choice, but she eventually decided she did not want to live 9+ hours away from our home, which also eliminated Duke. About half these schools offered the same or slightly better merit/need aid as UD, which gave our D what is almost full OOS tuition. After a great visit at UD scholarship weekend, she fell in love with the school, particularly the scholarship program to which she was admitted and UD’s very rah-rah campus environment. After a much less compelling overnight visit at Penn, final decision was made for UD. We’re proud of her for choosing what felt best to her, as she was given a fair amount of grief by her more prestige-oriented classmates and even her guidance counselor

PSU UP, Pitt, Temple, UConn, USC

Rutgers Honors, UMD Scholars, Quinnipiac Honors and TCNJ. UD was always my first choice :)

S turned down Salisbury, SUNY Stonybrook, and Towson, to join his brother at UD

D turned down William and Mary, Wake Forest, UMD Honors, University of Richmond, Drexel Honors, and NYU. She is wait-listed at UVA, but will probably turn that down if it comes through.

Delaware (Honors Program) turned out to be an unexpected gem. Everyone I talked with who had direct experience with the school was overwhelmingly positive. In fact I could not find anyone to so anything negative, unless you consider, “it is not as prestigious as some of the other schools where my D had offers.” I actually tried to find a reason to eliminate it, but the scholarships covering OOS tuition, Honors, 20+ AP credits transferring, solid reputation, and D’s affinity for it made UDel a no-brainer.

Uconn, Penn State (UP), UCF and Temple
