Just out of curiosity

Vassar, Brandeis, Skidmore, Wheaton (MA), Bard, Hampshire, Suffolk

MIT. Princeton. Every school in my state that sent me letters saying "You're already accepted!"

northwestern, university of florida, a crapload of "You're already accepted" schools

Northwestern Cornell amherst nyu and a bunch of other not as good schools

anyone else??? The must be more matriculating students out there

NYU, U Penn

not positive yet, but I will most likely be turning down upenn, swat, and pomona.

amherst, wellesley, smith, BC, BU, Brandeis, Colby and the list goes on

Dartmouth, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Smith, Holy Cross

Brown,Columbia,Middlebury

My D turned down Harvard, other NESCAC's and dozens of others.
Williams was #1 all the way!

Duke & Georgetown, mainly

Just curious, why Williams over Harvard or Princeton?????

Well I'd turn down Harvard for MIT and Caltech for MIT (student body size matters) and Williams not so sure... I got a friend on 91% financial aid going to Williams (not so great high school GPA either so prolly his SATs got him in) who is actually transferring this year O_O.

S turned down Vassar, Wesleyan, U Chicago & Brown.

Ok, friend is transferring because Williams seems too hard for him. Well he wasn't a good student anyway questions Williams' admission officers nor had any special accomplishment.

Tsubie, where was your friend from? How was he accepted if he wasn good? Underrepresented minor?

i wouldnt go about pointing fingers at the Williams admission officers. They know what they are doing. Williams isnt necessarily looking for only good students...they are also looking for interesting people who would contribute to the campus. For example, i can risk to guess that they would accept an 'average' student who wrote an extremely compelling essay/is a good artist/musician etc over a top student who just got impressive academics in his/her plate.

All about balance?.. diversity?.. so everyone stands a chance i suppose..
