Is there a list of schools that do not require SAT scores?

Go to
[The National Center for Fair & Open Testing | FairTest](http://www.fairtest.org)

While some schools may not require SATs, they may require AP exams, SAT IIs, Written graded papers, etc.

Fairtest publishes a list of test optional schools: [url=ACT/SAT Optional List - Fairtest]SAT/ACT Optional 4-Year Universities | FairTest/url

No school requires the SAT specifically, as far as I know. They’ll take the ACT instead.

Some schools have a policy that in lieu of the SAT you can submit a combination of AP scores, SAT II scores, etc. NYU does this for example.

Brandeis even goes one-step further and allows you to submit an “Academic Portfolio” in lieu of test scores.

For the CSUs listed, one can gain CSU eligibility on GPA alone (3.0 resident, 3.6 non-resident):

[CSUMentor - Plan for College - High School Students - Eligibility Index - Nonresidents Residents](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU)

However, for impacted campuses and majors, an eligibility index made from GPA and SAT or ACT score is used to rank order applicants to admit into the impacted campuses or majors. So SAT or ACT score is optional only in the case of applying for admission to non-impacted majors at non-impacted campuses.
