What schools don't require SAT's for Transfers?

So what schools don't require SAT Scores for transfering into Sophmore Year ?

all UC don't require it, i also know john hopkins and nyu don't

Would not listing your SAT scores on your transfer app. to NYU be looked upon unfavorably?

hmm I believe for USC and Cornell, you don't need to send them if you haven't taken them.

Yes, but if you have taken them, could you still omit them? or are they required? Would it be looked upon unfavorably if you had them and didn't send them? (for NYU).

i would guess that it wont look to good if you omit them from the app

If you don't send them, how would they know you "had" them? IMO, when they are optional, they are optional. My S did not send an official score report to Johns Hopkins, even though he had taken the SAT. He was accepted and is headed there next week.

Santa Clara University
Ohio State University
and I think
UW Madison

cornell.......

Amherst...

what are other ivy and top tier schools other then cornell and JHU that dont need SAT for transfer?

None. They all require it.

do you guys think that its frowned upon by colleges if one were to take the sat ii subject exam[s] while already enrolled at a 4 year (im planning to transfer)?

i haven't taken science my senior year of high school, and the only subject tests i've taken have been math 1 (700) and math 2 (740). i have been self-studying for physics and i was wondering if i could still take it during my first semester of college as a freshman (as i still won't be taking a science course my first year). i am planning to get around a 700 for physics. do you think its worth it?

most of the selective colleges require at least 2 sat iis and mine have been both math. some of the most selective universities on my prospective college transfer list include columbia u.-columbia college, cornell, and nyu-stern.

welll just take another science subject test that you been studying i mean if you have a good GPA and a good SAT score i think just one thing would be fine

Syracuse, Temple, SUNY Stony brook. I have the same problem man.

What about Chapman University in Orange? I never took the SAT's.

I think Brown is optional as well but the problem with Brown is that if might hurt your chances if you dont turn in ur SAT or ACT scores

yep.. brown is optional.
but anyways, most public schools won't require sat's for transfer students.

biggyboy - I don't think schools frown upon taking the SATII after already being enrolled in a 4-year college/university. I base this on having asked that question directly of Stanford transfer admissions. They do not discourage it, and recommend you try to submit the strongest scores you can.

So I'm extrapolating that other schools wouldn't object. I do recommend that you phone one or two of the schools you care most about and ask the question.
