<p>The University of Chicago has a strong art history department and a new 11-story facility devoted to the fine arts. <p>Check out art history at Johns Hopkins, and any opportunities there to enroll in studio classes at the nearby Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).</p>
<p>Williams College has a strong reputation for art history; it also seems to have solid studio programs.
