<p>i posted a topic about my reaches pretty recently but i'm in need of some guidance on which schools i'm a solid match for. my main safety is Stony Brook and my ultimate dream school is CMU; idk what schools i'm a solid match for, though. i messed around freshman and sophomore year and screwed myself over with regards to my gpa and extracurriculars, so i dunno lol. </p>
<p>i'm looking for affordable + fairly competitive schools, preferably with a greek life haha
any recommendations or advice would be appreciated! </p>
<p>Standardized Tests:
SAT I: 2300, 800 CR, 700 M, 800 W
PSAT: 227
SAT IIs: 800 Literature, 720 Math II (took it on the spur of the moment, i'm retaking and my projected score is 790-800), + i'm planning on taking the physics one</p>
<p>GPA W: 97 < my school doesn't rank but all the really smart kids have 100+ and the valedictorian is usually around 105
APs are weighted 1.08 and honors are 1.06</p>

- 100 hrs volunteering @ hospital + 25 from a service oriented camp
- vocal music for ~11 years, performed at a lot of local venues and received awards, but nothing prestigious
- clarinet for eight years, played in school and took lessons, scored consistent 95+ on state level auditions
- marching band
- wind ensemble
- staff writer in my school paper in 9th, editor in 10th and 11th (hopefully next year as well)
- national honor society
- regional essay competition awards (LILAC)
- science olympiad 9th and 10th...never went to states
- national merit semi-finalist (?)
- i'm a fairly good writer so my essays will work in my favor. also the teachers i plan on asking for recommendations adore me lol</p>
<p>Intended Major: not sure, definitely something math/science related</p>
