Give us an idea of what you are looking for in a school (size, location, etc.) and we can help you out.

location: preferably East Coast
size: any size is fine I suppose

any school you apply to you proably have a really good chance

any suggestions?

i think john hopkins....

possibly harvard...or penn

Okay...please evaluate my chances at these schools:

Duke, Hopkins, Harvard, Penn, Cornell, Princeton, Northwestern, Brown, and MIT

I think University of Rochester and try their REMS program!

i think you have a great chance at all those...but MIT might not be the best choice i would say number 1 choice should be harvard then 2 john hopkins

pnthers11...arent u a freshman?

yea but i no that those grades and that sat plus really good ec's equalsacceptance to almost anywhere

Duke:70%
Hopkins:85%
Harvard:30%
Penn:45%
Cornell:55%
Princeton:30%
Northwestern:60%
Brown:35%
MIT: 20%

Can you explain your rankings Sheed?

bump!!!!!!

Duke:70%- Volunteer at local Hospital and Research Intern at the National Institute of Health this summer with National Cancer Institute makes your chances go through the roof
Hopkins:85%-They are big on straight up academics and you have great SAt scores and the best GPA one could ask for.
Harvard:30% - Just because it's Harvard. You have 3 times more of a chance than the average Harvard applier.
Penn:45% - You cant ever go over 40% with Penn.. however because you are not applying to Wharton it increases your chances.
Cornell:55% - It's Cornell, i am pretty sure you're in but since Cornell is an Ivy League school i couldn't say that.
Princeton:30%- People at Princeton are freaks.. but it's a possibility.
Northwestern:60% - Your most likely in because you're not going there for economics or business.
Brown:35% - Ivy league, what more can i say.
MIT: 20%- You have a better chance than most because of your placement in programming competition.

Hope that helped/

Duke and Brown aren't that different in terms of admissions...

Brown is definitely not harder to get into than Penn...

thanks!!!! anyone else?

Brown is definitely not harder to get into than Penn...

[/quote]

Brown has a lower acceptance rate and higher test scores.

And I seem to see a lot more acceptances of "sub-par" (at least in terms of ivy stats) students to Penn than Brown.

Yea, Brown is harder to get into as a whole. If you were applying to Wharton then i could see where you are coming from.
