what schools should I be looking at?

I am looking for a good business school (under grad) that I have some chance of getting into (reaches are fine). My fallback right now is CU Leeds (unless I bomb senior year I have guaranteed admission). That said here's my info:

GPA: 3.58
GPA (uw): 3.29

ACT: 29 (should do better 2nd time, probably in the low 30's)
SAT: 2020 (I wish my eyesight was 20 20 :)

Ec's:
- Investing-Im very good, I return about as much as Buffett does annually. I manage my and co-manage my mother's portfolio. I have invested in stocks and derivatives.
- Other money handling stuff includes writing business plans, living trusts, real estate, etc.
- Was on the hiring committee for my school's new principal.
- Helped the elderly in the community with various tasks

I live in Colorado. I was thinking of applying to Cornell because both parents went there. Do you think I have a chance? Also where should I be looking?

you might have a chance at Cornell…albeit a very slim one…

You sats and acts aren’t bad…and your gpa isn’t terrible…but that in conjucnction with weaker ECs makes an Ivy like Cornell a BIG reach…

what do you want to do??? i think that would help us give you advice

Here is one set of rankings for B schools. [The Top Undergraduate Business Programs](http://bwnt.businessweek.com/interactive_reports/undergrad_bschool_2009/?chan=magazine+channel_special+report)

You’ll want to be well above the average for Public Us (because in most cases you’ll be competing as an OOS student which requires higher scores). USNWR also has a B school ranking at: [Best Undergraduate Business Programs - Best Colleges - Education - US News and World Report](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/college/spec-business)

rocket6,

I am interested in investing/banking. If the field appears to thin I would like to become an investment banker but as it is now I am looking at wealth management.

thanks erin’s dad. both look good. I’m thinking of applying to U Wiss (Madison), Cornell and, obviously, CU. Any others that you think I should look into?

Indiana University has a great business school (#11 on U.S. News and World Report), and I’d say you are a match for that school with your stats. If you get good grades during college, you can apply for their Investment Banking Wokshop (it has 100% job placement in investment banks). They also have a Investment Management Workshop that is just as good if that is a field you are considering.

For the record, I am a current business school at IU and I love it.

look into Babson College. It’s very business-focused and you can probably get in. However, it is much smaller than Cornell, Indiana, and CU.

I see IU at 22 but same difference. thanks guys you have certainly given me alot to think about.
