I would like to know at my current standings which colleges i would want to consider applying to (which tier/maybe some specific schools)

If i ended up with a 36 on the ACT would there be a difference?

I am worried that my low GPA will hurt my selection of schools, but if i turned it around and happened to get straight A's this last semester of junior year, would it change the selection of schools i could potentially get in to?

Are you from Illinois?

Anyways yeah picking up your GPA the next two semesters will go a long way. Because yeah you’re a strong applicant in other regards. ECs are a bit ordinary but that fact will really only hurt you at the very top schools.

Anyways if your school has a naviance page I’d check that out. You should definitely consider Big Ten schools unless you want a small college. After that I think top 50 schools would be a good place to start looking. Depending on how strong your HS is, a 3.3 will be looked at differently. At my HS, for instance, a 3.6 was good enough to get into Ivies.

yes, i am from illinois. Could you tell from the 4 years of required gym designed to prevent me from becoming obese?

thanks for the reply

yeah and scholastic bowl. Most people call it quiz bowl. I’ve finally weeded myself from calling it scholastic bowl.

No problem! Good luck. And wherever you go, represent Illinois with pride.

Many other states require four years of PE. What type of multiracial bucket do you fill? URM? Yes, your grades are low for your scores but you are top 10% of your class which is good. With your already high ACT it’s more important to focus on bringing up your grades than trying for a 36 ACT.

Well I’m neither black nor hispanic so i don’t think that being multi-racial will help me at all
