I would like to major in English with an emphasis in creative writing. I am not sure if I will be attending graduate school, but I hope to keep that option open. Since I would like to not have to move again it would be great if the school I end up going to has a graduate program for creative writing. I understand I may not get into the program at that school, but if I could it would allow less personal stress on my own part.

Currently I attend a community college in Oregon that feeds into the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. I would most likely go to the University of Oregon, but I HATE the Pacific Northwest. I would never pick another school here as I would only be going to the UO as a "no choice scenario." But my parents are considering a move, and that would mean my free housing (the only reason I would stay in Oregon) will disappear.

They are considering moving back to West Virginia about the time I would transfer, and they may move to Huntington or Morgantown (where my brother attends WVU.) That would mean free housing, and I would likely move there because it would be cheaper for me.

But I may also be receiving a fund for college, perhaps 40-60K, that would mean I could go almost anywhere, and I would like explore my options.

I'm an atheist liberal who hates driving, loves the city, and finds rain offensive. I liked Southern California weather and weather in WVU too, and I'm wondering what schools would be a good option for a transfer student with 3.3-3.5 GPA. I also will be joining Phi Theta Kappa soon. Preferably a school friendly to transfers.
