I just want to mention that that’s EXTREMELY rare, and that your friend’s dad almost certainly doesn’t do civil engineering anymore. I just don’t want you to go into the field for the wrong reasons.)</p>
<p>Cooper Union or Bucknell U. (ranked 4 and 5 respectively in USN for cival eng.) for non-doctorate schools. Cornell for schools that grant PhD’s. BTW, these are the best for cival and are in the NE. You did not say your preference of school size, location, etc.</p>
<p>West Point is also great, but not for everyone.</p>
