Play piano for 8 years.

Student representative on my district's Board of Education.

Very interested in business, technology, psychology, marketing, and politics. I read a lot of books on those subjects, write articles, etc.

My reach is Stanford. You don't have to tell me that that is an extremely far reach. But I would do anything to get into that school. I live in the northeast.

What schools do you think I have a chance of getting into? What are the weaknesses in my resume? Strengths?

Thanks for any input!

you seem cocky when you determine what your reach is.

try…nyu? its the only school with all those things. Its a decent reach if u apply to stern.

Thanks for the response.

I was just saying that if it were only up to me, that’s where I would go. But my SATs and GPA are mediocre, if that.

"you seem cocky when you determine what your reach is. "

…How was he being conceited in any manner?

In terms of your strengths and weaknesses, I’d say a very big plus for you is the internet/web design and development experience you have. If I were an admissions officer, I’d definitely want to know more about that. Maybe you could tie this into an essay somehow?

Your SAT scores so far aren’t bad, but they probably aren’t going to help you out in terms of getting in somewhere like Stanford. On the other hand, don’t let that take Stanford out of the picture, especially since it sounds like you’re a rising senior who has other opportunities to take the test. I’d be interested to know what schools you’ve looked into so far and what you liked/disliked about some of them.

An Ideal school for me is one that has excellent business, psychology, and technology programs, three fields I am very interested in. I would probably go for business, if not a dual major in psychology. Not into drugs, partying, drinking, fraternities… so the less the better.

Thanks.

Any other suggestions?

A couple updates:
ACT: 29 (27 / 30 / 30/ 27)
