I’ve been doing research on MBA programs I think would fit my interests. I’m concerned since I don’t exactly know what would be realistic. I like Yale SOM’s focus on nonprofits and Kellogg’s strength in marketing, but I know these are incredibly tough programs to get into.
I graduated in 2013 with a combination neuroscience/social science major from a top 15 university and a 3.5 GPA. I’m not sure it matters, but I had a pretty bad freshman year grades wise and a great upward trend after that. Would it make sense to make a note in the app explaining that or would it be fine since my grades were good for 3 years?
I took the GRE and have a verbal score of 170/170 (99 percentile) and a quant.score of 161/170 (80th percentile). I’m a bit concerned about the quant. score.
I did a year of working in a title one school and have been working in a higher education field now in my 2nd year.
I know this isn’t exactly a lot of information (especially without information on essays or recs), but I just wanted to get a realistic sense of what programs I should be applying to. Any ideas would be appreciated!
