What schools will I get into?

Hey guys, I’m a very stressed out senior who is wondering where the heck I will go to college. Please let me know what you think!

STATS:
GPA: 4.15 weighted, 3.6 unweighted, all academic classes have either been honors, AP or dual enrollment
ACT: 26 composites, 27 superscore (I’m planning on applying test-optional where I can)

ACADEMICS:
-I’m a dual enrollment student at my local community college and I have around 35 college credits. All my gen-eds are done.

  • I’m a member of the honors college at the community college. It is pretty competitive and I’m the only dual enrollment student in the program.
  • Through the honors college, I get to do independent research that I present at local and regional honors forums.
    -I have taken 2 AP exams: APUSH and AP psych, got 5’s on both.
    -Currently taking Creative writing, AP stats, AP envi sci, AP lit, Computer Science, AP art history, sociology (through dual enrollment), Linguistics (through dual enrollment), Intro the business (through dual enrollment) and a Research seminar (through dual enrollment.

EXTRACURRICULARS & HONORS:
-Run my own photography business on Etsy
-Run a successful photography Instagram
-I’ve won several awards for my photography.

  • Intern at a local art studio.
    -Layout editor and writer for my school’s literary magazine
    -Writer for my town’s newspaper
    -NHS member
    -NSHSS member
    -National English Honors Society member
    -National Social Studies Honors Society member
    -Model UN delegate
  • voice lessons and sing acapella.
    -stage crew for the major school productions.
    -ran varsity cross country but broke my leg last year.

APPLICATIONS:
-My AP stats teacher, creative writing teacher, honors college professor and boss at my internship are writing my recs, they are all pretty strong.
-I wrote my common application essay about how my family traveled a lot and how that helped me adapt and deal with my anxiety, it is pretty strong as well.
-My supplement essays vary but all talk about how I’m very passionate about education and art
-I will be submitting my photography portfolio as well
-My family is upper-middle-class so I will need some aid but not as much as some students
-I have legacy at Hood, Catholic, and Millersville.

You sound like an awesome photographer. You have excellent grades and above average test scores! Keep up the good work.

1 2 3 6 7 8 10 are a solid match for you in my opinion. The way I look at is that you meet entrance qualifications and will be fully considered.

4 and 5 will be a reach. To me says that you would need an excellent essay and recommendations to get a full read by the admissions teams.

You will have several great options in the end is my best guess.

Your overall stats are around average for admitted students at most of the schools on your list. That means you have a pretty good shot at the schools where the admit rate is 50% or more, and not quite as good a shot at the few more selective schools with admit rates down around 33% or so.

The wildcard is your #1 pick where your portfolio will be the make-or-break and there is no way to opine on that here.
