Hi, I'm an Asian male that wants to go into chemical engineering, but I am also strong in the arts. So, my question is, what colleges match my stats and strongly value the arts?

GPA: 3.9 (UW)
SAT: 2220 (CR:720, M:780, W:720) one sitting
SAT II's: Chemistry: 760, U.S. History: 760
AP's: Chemistry (4), Biology (5), 6 more AP's next year.
Major Awards: None

Extracurriculars: Mentor at a local science museum, bio-medical engineering internship, NHS, writing club, art club, Summer art camp, art classes at RISD, and other art EC's (but virtually no leadership :s)

Race: Asian
Gender: Male
Income: Middle
Possible Hooks: None
State: MA
School: average public

Thanks for the suggestion, but UC’s might be a little bit too far for me.

you could dual major in Brown and RISD. I want to do that too but it’s probably impossible to get into…NYU, UC, Colombia, Yale…all really good art programs and obviously good academics too. you have a good app but maybe try to establish leadership roles in some of your clubs? If you have a strong portfolio it might help you to get accepted to schools even if you aren’t majoring in art, but i’m not positive about that. Oh also BU, but I don’t know if that’s too close to home for you…You have good stats it’s just a matter of improving upon them i think…Chance back?

I would recommend schools like Case Western, Rice, UIUC, Northwestern
