I am in a bit of a unique situation I imagine. I am looking to double major in Political Science and Communications. My school GPA was not impressive, though my standardized test scores were solid. The reasoning is that I found most subjects boring and I lacked passion for them, however in classes that had my interest (Communications, writing, government classes) not only did I thrive but also received awards for excelling in those areas. I will be attending a local community college for 2 years in order to work hard and establish myself as a student who can thrive in school despite my high school records. Upon completing those 2 years, I will be looking to transfer to begin my undergrad in those 2 fields. I plan to continue on to post grad education, eventually hoping to reach doctorates in both fields (I know, it's a lot of school and even more loans) My question is this: if I ace every class for 2 years in community college, write excellent essays, and give above-par interviews, what are some of the best schools I can look to get into for my Political Science/Communications double major?
