Depressed About My Low Score So Was Just Wondering About The Scores Of Others. :-S

Why Are You Writing Like This?

And don’t worry about low scores the first time. The SAT measures a lot of how you take the SAT, so people generally get much better scores after taking it a second time.

It’s A Habit…

1500

2040 the first time, I forget the breakdown

2370

Honestly, a lot of it has to do with how well you perform under high-stress, test-taking conditions. If you tend to have issues with that, I’m sure that your second experience will be go along much smoother than the first.

My D got 1680 in March of Junior year. By fall of senior year, she had a 2140.

I got a 189 on the PSAT (in October I think?) and a 2260 my first time taking the SAT in March by just taking some practice tests. Being familiar with the test helped a lot!

I got an 1810 (520 CR, 670 M, 620 W). I just need a higher CR score.

My brother’s first score was 13-something, I forgot the exact number, out of 2400. He raised it to a 1500. Still not great, but he ended up getting into almost every school he applied to! Including his top choice! Even though their averages were definitely higher than 1500! So you can definitely be successful, especially if you raise it even higher. Don’t worry-- in the end, you’ll be fine.

1610 in March, now have 1800.

1880 just took it without studying… It improved from my 163 and 154 PSAT

2050 without studying.

waiting to get my june scores that have been delayed.

1560 & I have test anxiety. I’m going to retake it in October and try to raise it by actually studying this time.

2280 completely agree with @crystal19, it was the stress that got to me the first time.

I was so freaked out and nervous and didn’t study and omitted a lot and got an 1880, was expecting a 1400-1600(at the most) so I’m kind of happy…maybe I can get a 2000+ If I put my mind to it

I took it for the first time on June 7, and I got a 2000 through relentless studying and practice. Taking all those practice tests and using tools such as Khan Academy, number2.com, and a list of difficult SAT words and idioms REALLY helped. I got a 1580 on the PSAT in October, and my highest projected SAT score at the time was a 1790. I defied my own expectations with my high score. Thankfully, I won’t have to retake. :)

1800 or 1900-something, I think? This was for Duke TIP way back in 7th grade. I haven’t taken the SAT since then. :)

I recommend bringing food for during the breaks! I didn’t and I got really tired and hungry! I actually think this will improve my endurance for next time!

That was also the last time I took the SAT, haha. I hope my other standardized tests in the future go as smoothly…
