What score would my essay get?

In a SAT Essay, SAT graders give essays anything up to a 6. I'm wondering what my essay would get.

Prompt:is never on the square – he uses up the fat and greenery of the earth. Each generation wastes a little more of the future with greed and lust for riches.”

Assignment:
With our modern awareness of ecology are we likely to make sufficient progress in conservation, or are we still in danger of damaging the earth beyond repair? Plan and write an essay...

MY ESSAY:
To some people, the modern age is a new era of technology, scientific achievements, and easier lifestyles. However, others view the modern age as a curse to Mother Earth and the doom of future generations. Humankind’s greed and growing population are sucking up land and resources like a straw. With these problems increasing by the second, the public is becoming aware of these dangers. Although we know the effects of damaging the earth, we are still mistreating our planet by cutting down trees and strip mining.

To begin with, cutting down trees, a common example of hurting earth, has a large effect on the big picture. For example, deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest has left the world in the worst situation ever. At its previous size, the Amazon Rainforest supplied one-third of our oxygen and many rare cures to diseases. Though many know that cutting down the trees is harmful, the businesses that cut down the Amazon continue to do so. Why? This is all a result of man’s need for land for homes and pasture for cattle grazing. Cutting down trees is just one way that people are deliberately harming the earth even though the effects are widely known.

Additionally, strip mining harms the places around it beyond repair. For example, strip mining at the Canadian Shield has left the area bare of any animals or plants. The Canadian Shield was once rich in minerals with many life forms using it as a habitat. Unfortunately, humankind’s greed for wealth took these resources and left a destroyed place that is no longer suitable for life. Everyday, more and more people are becoming aware of these predicaments, but so far, the mining has barely slowed. Strip mining is continuing despite public awareness, and many organisms are loosing their life or habitat through this.

Humankind is Mother Earth’s biggest enemy because it cuts down trees and strip mines despite the fact that the public knows about the effects. First of all, cutting down trees, like in the Amazon Rainforest, takes away lives and homes just for human greed. Second, strip mining, like in the Canadian Shield, leaves the land devoid of any resources, making it difficult for others to live there. Many generations have continued the mistakes of those before them, and this generation is on the path of doing the same. However, if this generation pulls together and helps, future generations could be on the way to success, and Mother Earth can continue to nourish them.

THANK YOU!

Sorry; the quote on top is : “What man calls civilization always results in deserts. Man is never on the square – he uses up the fat and greenery of the earth. Each generation wastes a little more of the future with greed and lust for riches.”
