What score?

Hello. I got a 33 on the ACT with a 10 on the essay. I also got a 2040 on the SAT with a 8 on the essay.

Should I put
just ACT/SATII
just SAT/SATII
all three

I've been given conflicting answers, so I was hoping someone can clear this up.

I'd say ACT and SAT IIs, though it probably wouldn't hurt you to put the SAT I.

I'd say ACT with SAT IIs. SATs are below Cal's avg. of 2070, while ACTs are way above the 29 avg.

cal's avg sat is little over 2k~~

yea...cals avg is like 2006

^^ I believe that's UCLA's. Berkeley's is closer to 2050, though I think it's gone down slightly (it seems many of top universities' SAT scores have dipped slightly).

office of admissions sent some current students an email last year stating that the avg. was a 2070. i believe UCLA's is a 2006

Thanks guys, I'll just put my ACT and SATIIs

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread, but is it possible if I just put my 33 ACT on my application along with my SAT IIs, w/o my 1790 SAT?

Yes, you can, but they will see your SAT scores when you send them your SAT II scores.

i just checked the uc website and avg for cal(2007) is 2009 and ucla is 1996. berks rose a tad and ucla dropped a tad over the previous year. heres the site http://www.ucop.edu/news/factsheets/2007/freshman_admit_profile_2007.pdf

saasaa: avg act composite is 28 for cal

And I'm going by this:

University of California - Admissions

Last year's it was 2040. This year's it says 2030. This drop makes more sense -- there's been an odd phenomenon among universities (perhaps exclusive to the top ones, not sure) of a slight lowering in SAT scores. Stanford's, for example, dropped from a 2160 to 2150. It seems logical that Berkeley's would drop from a 2040 to a 2030, then. Notice, also, that it reports the average ACT as 29. Not that all this makes a huge difference -- but the admissions data on universityofcalifornia.edu for all the campuses seems more thorough.

thats weird how the two stats differ relatively great. i actually got that pdf file from universityofcalifornia.edu --> admissions --> admission stats --> enrollment figs.

@kyledavid80: It means this year's class was dumber than last yera's class. Just kidding.

^^ lol oh, of course, just like Stanford's class of 2011 is 1 increment stupider than 2010. =p

misterreach: I'd remembered seeing that pdf a long time ago but couldn't remember where to find it. So I've just gone by the admissions pages from the UC site.
