Hey, if you guys could help me out I'd really appreciate it. I need to know what scores I should send to each school. My friend is telling me to send the ACT because some schools apparently do not consider the writing.

UVA, Emory, Georgetown, BC, Johns Hopkins, George Washington University and Boston University

My scores are
1980 sat
580R
730M
670E

28ACT
32M
30R
30E
21S ( el oh el)

760-Math2
700-Math1
660-US history
Should I take Biology in January?(If i rush the score it can make it to schools for regular decision.)
What scores should I send to each school? Please let me know asap. Also I can chance you if you want me to.
thanks!

Before anything else: Did you take the ACT with writing? Some colleges will not want to see your ACT if it is not ACT+Writing. If you did, you may want to compare the essay scores of the SAT and ACT as well. If you didn’t, you pretty much have to send the SAT. Anyways.

Just looking at the overall scores, your SAT is a little better. Your SAT is basically the equivalent of a 29 on the ACT.

Now the thing is, your ACT would look better if that science score wasn’t bringing you down. Your Reading on the ACT is MUCH better than on the SAT; English about the same; math about the same (SAT a little better).

So, if you’re applying with in interest that has nothing to do with science and more to do with Engish/writing, you miiight want to send the ACT. If you have any interest in science (physics, engineering, chemistry, etc), that 21 will look pretty bad. SAT would be the best.

Sending the SAT may just be easier, since you’ll probably want to send those Subject test scores either way. I would leave out the Math1 score. The 760 on Math2 is far more impressive than the 700 on Math1.

I am not majoring in any field having to do with science. haha
