Heres the problem...

I have 2 ACTs, one 35 (36 35 35 35) 12 writing, and one 36 (36 36 36 35) 10 writing

I also have an SAT 2350 (800 800 750 Verbal)

SAT II's : 800 math, 770 Physics, 760 US History, 720 French, 740 French

I believe the policy is send in either ACT or SAT with SAT IIs, and you need to send in all SAT IIs.

First of all, please let me know if I am wrong on that policy, and second of all, what should I send in? One ACT, 2 ACTs, or everything??

Other stats: 8 APS (as of jr year), seven 5s, one 4
Class rank 1/694

Thanks!

From the Yale website, here are instructions on test score reporting:

Yale requires results from all of the SAT I and SAT II tests or all of the ACT tests you have taken. If you choose to fulfill our testing requirement with SAT scores, then it is not necessary to send any scores from the ACT, even if you have taken the ACT. And if you choose to fulfill the requirement using the ACT, you do not need to send us any SAT scores, unless you wish.

However, and this is important, if you elect to use the SAT scores, you must report all scores from all SAT exams (both SAT I and SAT II) that you have taken. If you elect to use ACT scores, you must report all scores from all ACT exams you have taken. And if you choose to use a combination of SAT and ACT results, we require that you report all scores from both agencies.

If you decide to send any ACTs, you must send all. If you decide to send any SATs (I or II) you must send all. Your scores are excellent. Send them all; they can only help you (although I have to wonder why you retook a 35 ACT.)

yeah why lol? btw that is pretty beastly to go up, most people would get a 35 the first time and then go down the second time

You don’t have to “send” them all, to be clear. You must send in ONE and self report all others.

As for the OP, um, I don’t think it matters. All of those scores are good.

[Instructions for Reporting Your Scores | Application to Yale College | Freshmen | Office of Undergraduate Admissions](<a href=“http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/score_reporting.html]Instructions ”>http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/score_reporting.html )

First, let’s be clear on the difference: students who choose to submit ACT scores are required to send official results from the ACT for at least one test date, plus provide us with self-reported scores from all ACT test dates. Students who submit SAT scores must send official results from all SAT test dates (both SAT I and SAT II’s).

We have taken this approach because there is a cost differential in the reporting of SAT and ACT results. The College Board will send a cumulative record of all SAT I and SAT II tests for one fee. For a similar fee, the ACT will send results for just one test date. Because we do not feel that students reporting ACTs should incur greater costs, we require that students pay to send at least one official ACT score report and self-report all other ACT results. We will confirm self-reported test results if we feel it is necessary.

Thanks for all your help guys, and I took a state mandatory act test for the second one. Everyone in the state is required to take it.

so since I have 5 SAT IIS, with two frenchs on the lower side, would I be better off with just acts or both? (The state mandated act will also be on my transcript)
