What scores to submit?

I would like to know what scores I should/shouldn't submit if allowed by the college. The best possible combination.

SAT (may): 750 CR, 690 M, 590 W; 2030

SAT (oct): 620 CR, 710 M, 640 W; 1970

So superscore is 2100.

ACT (oct): 34 composite (35 English, 34 science, 34 math, 31 reading, 33 writing)

SAT 2 (nov): 800 math 2, 630 literature

Also, should I try to take sat 2 again in December?

I think you should submit all scores. I mean, clearly, you have nothing to be ashamed of. All your scores are good. And I suggest you retake the SATII in Literature. A better score will boost your chances.

Your ACT score is far better than your SAT scores. The ACT is the only score that you should submit.

Most schools that accept the ACT do not require any Subject Tests. I would send them only if your intended major is related to Math. If you want to be an engineer, send them; if you want to be an English major, only send the ACT and do not send the Subject Tests.

Rml,

If I were to submit only the act, should I remove the sat from common app? Or do I just not send the scores? Also when a school requires to see all sat scores would I still be allowed to only submit act?

Hmm… I would send the act which is a lot better and depending on where you are applying should get you some sort of merit aid. However I would also send in the SAT II math score regardless of your major I think it could help with competitive merit aid.

I would recommend that you remove all your SAT scores from your Common App. Generally, the schools that require all scores to be submitted (there are only a handful of these) will also require Subject Tests so you will need to include them. For all other schools however, delete any reference to having taken the SAT at all.

I also disagree with MiGa, since it would be odd for a school to receive only one Subject Test score. My guess is that they would assume that you took more and scored poorly.

OP-
My son has around the same stats as your SAT/ACT . He has SAT 2150 and a 34 ACT. He sent both scores in and while he didn’t apply to any Ivy’s so far he has been accepted to all the colleges he applied to that either had rolling or EA where the decision have come out already. I’m not sure where you are applying but I don’t think it will harm you to send the Math SAT. However rml is correct if you aren’t going to send them take them off the common app. If it’s just one college it might be better to send any AP scores to the college. I know for Georgia Tech we sent them in( we won’t know till December if he got it) and they show up on his application.
