What Scores Would You Feel "Comfortable" With

Okay, since the majority of CC kids are heading to top colleges, i was wondering what scores (SAT and/or ACT) would you feel satisfied or comfortable with. Like, if you were applying to Ivies, or any top schools, at what point would you say.."I have a good shot with that and i'm happy with that score"?

And please don't just say 2400/36...well duh you'd be happy with that score...i'm looking for more of a minimum

2250 for me.
With a 700 in cr. Like 700 770 780
So no 800 800 650.

2250 for me as well

Although I think my current score of 2100 might be competitive with other URMs. But then again, I don’t want to count on being a URM.

what about for ACTs

34 I would say

A 2250. That is funny other say the same thing.

Writing: 800
Math: 750
Critical Reading: 700

I had a 1810, and now I have an 2120. Just 140 points to go!

Probably around 2100, hopefully 2200-2250 lol same.

I took a practice test without studying that was exactly like the SAT with Kaplan and got an 1818 to hopefully if I study I can reach my goal!

so how would you feel with a 2230? or 2240? would you take it again?

Nope 10char

I would’ve been good with 2200+ SSed.

I’d say 2300 because of my sophomore PSATs being >230. That makes me feel like a total jerk…we’ll see in December/Jan, I guess. Or after my Junior PSATs.

No idea on ACT. I haven’t really looked at that at all.

Well,I am hoping for a 2050-2100 for my June taking (Yep,my scores are still not available) and I will try to improve to 2200 in Nov ( I am taking SAT II WH and Math 2 in Oct)

I also say 2250, but an interesting question is what if the 2250 is a 650/800/800?

Wouldnt you guys say a 750/750/750 is a lot better than 650/800/800 even though they are both 2250s.

650/650/650
just 20 points to go in CR/M and 40 in writing.

Everybody is saying 2250 but I have a 2240 ): ahaha oh well, i’m definitely satisfied with mine. 680 CR / 800 M / 760 W

2350: 800, 770, 800

Um … 800 + 770 + 800 ≠ 2350, noreally.

What if your 2250 was a 1450/1600…(assuming you get a perfect writing) would you still feel as comfortable as if you got a 1550 on the CR/M and only a 700 in writing

No.
The 2250 must have a 700+ in all three subjects

^Ya like I said earlier, 650/800/800 is tricky. I wouldn’t want to be that person making the decision to retake. In fact, I would rather have 720/750/750=2220 over the 650/800/800=2250.
