I just recently received all the completed school report forms from my GC. Right now, for each common app school I’m applying to, I have a transcript in one sealed envelope and the school report in another sealed envelope. Both these envelopes are placed inside a larger envelope, which is sitting here with me.
I just found out that Yale and Harvard are asking for supplements to the school report. The only problem is that school is now on break until January 3rd. The apps are due before then.
What should I do? Wait until the 3rd and give the supplemental forms to my GC, who can open up the already sealed copies of the common app form, fill out the supplements, and then mail them off… Or send what I have now?
I guess I was mistaken in believing common app = one form.

I'm in the same situation! I realized Yale's, but Harvard didn't say anything about theirs at all. When I opened up their school report, it was the same as the common app one, and I already had that, so I thought I was covered. If I had scrolled down I would have seen the supplement. I emailed my counselor, but I doubt she got the email. I don't know what to do.

Edit: I just received word from my counselor that she received my email and will mail the form separately. I would suggest emailing it to your counselor if he/she can still receive it. If not, I would call the admissions office and ask what to do.

I think it would be easier for them if my GC sent the supplement with the common app form on the 3rd, but I don't know if I want to miss deadlines to make it more convenient. However, considering I have no way to contact my GC, it looks like I'll have to send it a few days late.

The deadlines for counselors/teachers are not as strict. It is completely fine if you contact your counselor after getting back from break and give him/her the form.

Ok. So I guess I'll wait until the 3rd then. The thing is, the supplements aren't even that different. Just more checkboxes for the GC to fill out.
