Does anyone have any tips for what to put in a letter to a college that you've been waitlisted at? Should it just be about why I still want to go to X school? Should I talk about new achievements in the letter or attach a separate sheet? Should I mention what other college I plan to attend? Any other random tips? Thanks.

new achievements, if its your number one college say so, things not on the application, ask to meet or contact them. don't mention other admission to other colleges.

I read this on the UVA board from someone working within the admission system; don't make it a cookie cutter "I love your school it's my #1 if you don't accept me I'll die" type of deal. Explore your passions further and how they would materialize at said school.

Did the school specify in the letter? Some waitlist letters from colleges say to confirm your interest and describe why the school is a good match for you. In your letter you should also update on any accomplishments. Extra recommendations from teachers or advisors wouldn't hurt either
