what should I ask my teacher to focus on for a letter of recommendation

So I was one of those kids who freaked out in AP Physics all the time last year during tests and ended up with a B+ instead of an A-. My physics teacher is still writing my rec though because he knows how much effort I put into the class so that I WOULDN'T freak out during tests, but obviously, I wasn't too successful. Now after thinking about it, I don't know if it was so wise that he's the one writing it. He really liked me and knows how involved I was in other activities (like service) which he really cared about as well, so I'm know it'll be a good rec overall, but I don't know if I want him to say "she tried really hard, but never really got there."

I guess my question is do you think MIT will look at the fact that I knew what was wrong and attempted to fix it better than just thinking I was one of those kids who didn't turn in homework or something? I honestly wish I was just one of the kids who didn't do stuff because I feel that's a better reason to get a B than getting nervous, but I'm not really sure what to do about this.
