Hi, I'm a senior, and i know the college admission process is coming up! So, i'm wondering what I should be doing right now in terms of that. i have a basic idea, but i'd like to know if i'm behind at all. Also, I have been researching schools, but my list is still at around 18 schools, which I can't seem to narrow down. Also, I feel as if I should be working on essays, so is there any advice for starting an essay? i'd also like to know when to start looking at financial aid stuff.

It all depends on the schools' deadlines, and how you're applying (EA ED SCEA RD). That basically effects what you should be doing witht the other things you mentioned. I'm guessing that at least a few of those schools take CommonApp, so you should knock out that Personal Statement first. If you're lucky, you can use it for other schools that don't use CommonApp. You should definitely narrow your choices down, and with so many schools, you can afford to be really picky. As for Fin. Aid stuff, I've been told that just look local scholarships and whatnot, as a lot of them have nearing deadlines. You can't fill out the FAFSA yet, and the CSS isn't out yet either I believe. So just make sure you know what you need to have filled out for each college. I hope that was some help.
