What should I be doing right now?

It's summer before college and I'm bored!!!

my sleep cycle's totally out of whack (I sleep at 4am and wake up at like 10am)

my friends are totally out of contact, making me ending up going to the movies to see transformers as a babysitter

every day is filled with purposeless old magazine and harry potter reading

I mean I do have a job, but it's still boring!

Is there something I should be doing? like prepare for college doing research, studying, or summer reading or whatever?

Advises deeply appreciated!!

Find a laptop yet? If not, you could start looking for one and doing research

play guitar hero II--that should keep you occupied for like... say the rest of the summer

Guitar Hero. Definitely.

But if you're an English/Liberal Arts guy like me, I recommend reading up on whatever literature you might not have gotten around to reading. It's not really going to benefit you academically, but I found it helped me feel more well rounded and like I had accomplished something with my summer.

If you're a Math/Science guy? I dunno. Go derive things or balance some reactions or whatever you people do.

lol derive things...

i'm just occupying myself with laptop shopping and rewatching finales of my fav shows (grey's, lost, sci, battlestar galactica, etc)

my summer is sooooo productive ;)

guitar hero is so fun

well, you could do what I've resorted to doing: Recommended reading. I think you could find it on the FYS website or InsideND. Happy reading :)

I was feeling the same way last summer. Reading is a good idea, as has been mentioned (though I think I went with The Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes rather than recommended reading...). Don't worry about your sleep cycle too much; it certainly won't improve at school. Figure out what you want in your dorm room so you can talk business with your roomie when you find out who it is/they are.

And hey, I feel the pain on carting the little guys to the movies.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, get good at HALO and/or Super Smash Bros.

lmao derive things...

i hope charlie weiss autobiography is on the "recommended reading" list haha... i'm just starting it and i'm excited! it's so nice to read something i want for the first time since elementary school
