What should I be looking at?

I'm a junior in high school trying to narrow down the colleges I want to look seriously at, and I'm hoping for some feedback and what sorts of schools I have a chance at.

Here's the basics:

I go to a small public school that is one of the top public schools in the nation and ranked higher than some privates in our state.

ACT - 29 (that was my first time taking it without any prep. I'm planning on retaking it after some studying and hopefully bumping that up to the 32-34 range)

AP classes
- AP Us History (3) - sophomore year
- AP Literature and Composition (4) - sophomore year (At the end of freshman year I was one of 16 chosen to advance to AP Lit which is normally a junior class, instead of Honors English 10)
- AP World History (haven't tested yet) - junior year
- I'm registered for AP Lang and Comp and AP Statistics for senior year.

GPA - 3.31 unweighted, 3.56 weighted. (I know that's bad. I had a 3.7 unweighted, 3.9 weighted freshman year, and then sophomore year I took an advanced math class I wasn't ready for that hit my GPA really bad, and a couple electives that were also a drain on the GPA. I'm really concerned about that because there's not much I can do to get it up to a respectable point by the end of this year and I really don't feel that 3.31 is a solid picture of my academic abilities)

School Activities
Newspaper - freshman, sophomore, and junior year (will be continuing senior year). As a junior I have been appointed to Copy Chief and will maintain an editorial position next year as well.
Yearbook - sophomore and junior year (senior as well) I was the index and folio manager this year, and have been appointed to Assistant Editor-in-Chief for senior year!
German Club
I've done some tutoring in English this year for struggling freshman and sophomores.

Other Activities
Sunday School teacher (3 years)
Junior camp counselor (2 summers, 2-3 weeks each)
various volunteer activities through my church

Employment
I currently work as a receptionist at a well-respected real estate firm in the Twin Cities.

What sort of shape am I in as far as college goes? Any criticism and advice greatly appreciated!

You really need to provide some more information. How much can your family afford? Are there certain regions you want to go to or not go to? Are you interested in a specific major? No point in going to a school that doesn’t offer engineering if your interested in engineering? If your asking can you still get into an Ivy League school, your chances are slimmer than most. Otherwise, there are over 1500 colleges, you need to provide some information to narrow down the possibilities.

There are actually over 4000 US colleges. You would be competitive at all but 50 or so.

Finances are slim. I’m looking at majoring in something like journalism, advertising, marketing or graphic communications. I live in Minnesota and would like to stay in the Midwest. I’m thinking Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, maybe Missouri…
