I am a senior graduating high school student, I am on crossroads between accounting and engineering.., I am not the best in math but I can say that I am good in math and also drafting, I have long patience but wants something new, of course I want a higher salary.. what course will be better..? up until now, I don't now what course I want to take up on college.. please help me.. thanks in advance!

Have you researched what either course will actually entail?

If all you know about accounting and engineering is that both require math and that either [may] lead to a relatively high salary, I suggest you do a lot more investigation.

Accounting doesn’t require the same amount of math as engineering lol.

e: Take your school’s intro to accounting course to get a feel for it. Some people love accounting, I can’t say I’m a big fan.

There is a big difference both in the mathematics involved and the type of person who thrives as an engineer or accountant. I can’t speak for accountants but I have a lot of experience with engineering students since I have taught at Illinois Tech for 29 years and one of my sons is an engineer. This is a bit of a generalization, but typically an engineer has the drive to know how things work and wants to design new products. Did you take broken (or functional) devices apart to see how they worked? If you or your parents know any engineers, ask them what they do in their work and what gets them excited about their profession. You can do that with accountants too and it should help you decide.
