Hi I basically have a free spot for my schedule next year and I am wondering what you guys think is the best option for me. I plan on becoming an engineer or business major. I've already competed both economics courses.

Currently:

AP English Lit
AP Calc BC
AP Physics: EM
Differential Equations (hardest class, but I am good at math so it might be fun)
Guitar (Fine Arts req)
World History Honors

and for my last class I can choose between

--Aiding (basically helping one teacher out with their work occasionally, but most of the time it's a free period)
--AP Comparative Gov (fun teacher, but not sure if the work is necessary)
--AP Psych/Environ (mostly bs and unnecessary work, but possibly more helpful than CoPo)
--AP Chemistry (rigorous workload but most useful for my future, not sure if I want to subject myself to this)
--any other suggestions?

Basically, is my schedule strong enough for an Ivy "glance" or would I need to add a little more rigor?

Thanks!

Id take either the Comparative gov or psych/environ, but personally imho id go with comparative because its generally regarded as a harder class than the other two.

I’d choose aiding tbh

Even though there would be more work I would add AP Chem.

AP Chem. Psych is a lot of reading (a lot). I never understand ‘aiding’ a teacher. Are you planning to be a secretary? My daughter does this aiding for a favorite teacher, but she’s learned absolutely nothing from it. She gets service hours rather than a grade (didn’t need those either), and she actually only goes 3 days a week because she meets with her tutor the other 2 days. There are no study halls at her school so she couldn’t have a free period.

My other daughter took AP Chem and she liked it. Also going to be an engineer.

4th / 5th year of foreign language?

I would definitely choose AP Chem if this were my junior year (or a year that counted in the end), but as I’ve stated, I’m not sure if I will have the focus as a second semester senior.

I know, it sounds lazy, but I’m just being realistic! Would my current schedule plus AIDING be sufficient as a senior-year course load for the top-tier schools?

I took 6 APs this year as a junior, and one as a sophomore, if that makes any difference.
