WHat should I do about my ACT score??

I am taking the ACT in October and I didn't sign up for the writing section. ALL of the schools that I am applying to say "If submitting ACT score writing section is required." Does this not apply if I am sending my SAT score in too and the ACT is just a supplimental score.

Basically, can I send my ACT w/o the writing section if I submit my SAT (with the writing section of course) aswell???

Why don’t you call to see if you can adjust your registration to take the test with writing? You may still have time to do that.

I think you’re probably OK not doing the writing section, but be aware that this likely means your SAT is going to be much more heavily weighted with your college. You might also contact the admissions office at your schools as well and see if they can give you any insight. Good luck!

i found this verbage on a website for a school my DD is going to apply to. i emailed to ask about it and they said they wont consider any scores unless the essay was taken as well. sucks, because she has done the writing portion, just not on EVERY test date.

good luck.

My son just went through this. He was signed up to take the Sept 12 ACT with NO writing. We called and ACT told him to go a little early and get his name on the list for the writing test. They will let you take it if they have extra exams. No money is needed at the time as they will send your parents a bill or just charge the original credit card.
