Sure but it’ll be MUCH harder to be competitive for you: you’ll apply to most public universities with your AS levels, whih don’t match application requirements (you have English + 2 electives). You’ll need to study for the SAT and take it in June and August this year. You may not be considered “instate” for requirements and tuition costs. In short, you make it much harder for yourself.
It’s like trying to jump a wide gap - you need to take a run up. If you stand by the gap and just jump, you run the risk of crashing.

What universities would you consider?
In New Jersey, you may be competitive for Rowan?
@MYOS1634 I’m thinking to attend 12th grade and I will hopefully graduate high school in 2018. After that, i’m planning to attend Baruch College which i’ve heard is really good for business studies. My plan has changed a bit, i’m moving to Brooklyn, New York. Not New Jersey
Ok, if you are a student in NYC, with your AS you’ll be placed in 12th grade. However your AS will be a liability because it’s made of electives, so you’ll be judged on your 80% in Matric.
In addition, you will need to prepare for the SAT quickly.
You’ll need to take Precalculus (or precalculus honors or calculus honors), English, American history, Economics Honors (or AP), Statistics honors (or AP); you can add CS, Sociology, Art, Art History, any honors class you can add.
Baruch is hard to get into so you’ll need to have back ups. With an 80% on Matric, 2/3 “elective” subjects on AS levels, and no SAT score, right now you must consider it a reach (odds are higher you won’t get in).
Therefore, look at other universities in New York.
SUNY Albany, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Geneseo (it’s got an AACSB-accredited Business school) would be low reaches/matches.
@MYOS1634 But what if I apply to colleges in the beginning of 2018? I will have a SAT score by that time. Or maybe after graduating high school?
Will I be competitive enough then?
You’d take a gap year then? (if you apply after graduating) Yes it’s possible, you just need to plan what you’d do during your gap year - work, volunteer, etc. (You cannot take classes during a gap year.)
Most college apps open between mid July and Sept 1 after junior year. So if you wait till 2018 to apply either you’d limit the colleges you’d be applying to, or you’d apply for Fall 2019.
I’m an international student and I did A levels before coming here. Computer Science, Math, Physics and Chemistry (AS only). I got a total of 28 college credits from Binghamton University so I assume other schools might offer it too.
I regretted doing my A2s, but then it was worth it to get a full years worth of credit. You can apply directly to most unis.
@burmese But i’m being told that my AS level subjects are not college preparatory. Is it still possible with my subjects that are business studies, media studies and english language?
That is going to depend on the college or university that you apply to. Each place sets its own policies.
you need to finish A levels.
