okaay so earlier in this year my ap bio teacher suffered from cardiac arrest and we havent had a real ap biology teacher since. i have learned nothing in that class this year...someone who started learning biology right now for the exam would be in the same situation as me, because i know NOTHING. so do you think it would be better to really prep hard for that exam along with apush and ap english lang or do you think it would be better to just focus on apush and ap eng lang and just accept a 1 on the ap bio exam? please help!!

Focus on APUSH and AP Eng Lang. If you don’t take the Bio exam, you can get a partial refund probably.

Take a Bio practice test.

Although you may not have learned anything in AP Bio, if you’ve had bio before (honors or regular), then you might find the exam to be easier than you think.

At this point? I’m not sure. On one hand a 1 doesn’t look too great. But 34% of people got 1’s on the Bio test last year so maybe it’s not as bad. You see, the same thing happened to me last year. My teacher had health problems and was gone. My class just bought the Barron’s book and prepped really hard. We all got 5’s. I’m not sure if it will work for you, though.

Why don’t you take a practice History and English test and if you do well enough, go for the Bio. If not, leave it.

wow… similar situation here, except it’s ap chem and the cause of absence was my teacher having a baby. she came back a couple of weeks ago, but isn’t going over anything we did when she was gone. i’m also taking apush and ap english lang, as well as ap calc ab and ap comp sci ab. at this point i would say study a little of each, and take a bio practice to see what you can do. if you’ve had some instruction or studied a bit, i doubt you’d make a 1. if it looks doable, study ap bio! if not, try to get a partial refund and cancel. remember that apush is largely fact recall and ap english lang is often based on how well you do in english class
